Questions about the free-of-charge tier
Is the free-of-charge tier really free of charge forever?
Yes. Tasur Kassaraamat does not stop being free of charge after the first year, and it has no time limit. The limits of the free-of-charge tier are stated openly, in advance. Nothing surprising is hidden in the small print.
What are the boundaries of the free-of-charge tier?
The current proposal, to be confirmed before launch: one company, two users plus view-only access for the accountant, unlimited ledger entries, statutory file exports included, e-invoices up to 25 per month, and manual bank statement import. The free-of-charge tier has no API and no automation.
Why is there no API in the free-of-charge tier?
The free-of-charge tier is deliberately the ledger without automation. The API, automatic bank import and webhooks are what you pay for. They are included in every paid tier, starting with the cheapest. Every API function is included.
Can I submit KMD and TSD returns from the free-of-charge tier?
Yes, as file export at launch. Tasur prepares the files, and you upload them under your own e-MTA login. The Pro tier adds automatic submission over X-Road, once it is available.
What about e-invoices?
Since 1 July 2025, any buyer registered as an e-invoice recipient may demand an e-invoice from its supplier. That is why sending and receiving e-invoices through the operator network is included even in the free-of-charge tier, with a proposed limit of 25 e-invoices per month.
Do the prices include VAT?
The listed prices exclude VAT. Estonian VAT is 24%, and the price including VAT is shown next to each tier.
Can I run Tasur on my own servers?
Yes. The engine is source-available, and the Büroo licence costs the same on your own infrastructure. The exit is always open. That is exactly why the managed hosting can be trusted.
